01 Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how
(package name: , "the app", "we", "us")
handles information when you use it. The app is built and maintained by an independent
developer, not a company with a data team — so this policy is written to be short,
specific, and honest rather than padded with boilerplate.
In short: the app lets you paste a link, download the video, and play it back from your own device. There's no sign-up, no user profile, and no server we run that stores your downloads or your activity.
02 Information We Collect
Because there's no login system, we don't have names, emails, or phone numbers tied to your use of the app. Here's the fuller picture:
We don't collect
- Your name, email, or phone number
- Account credentials or profiles (there are none)
- Precise location or contacts
- Payment information
- Advertising IDs or usage analytics (see note below)
What touches the app
- The link/URL you paste in, to fetch the content
- The video/media file itself, saved to your device
- Basic device info (OS version, model) if you email us for support
Note on device diagnostics: like most Android apps, ours may generate basic crash or performance diagnostics collected automatically by Google Play's own developer tools. That data goes to Google under Google's Privacy Policy, separately from anything we ourselves collect — we don't run our own analytics SDK today.
03 How We Use Permissions
The app requests a small, fixed set of Android permissions. Here's exactly what each one is for:
Lets the app save the videos you download and show them in the app's built-in player. Files land in your device's normal storage — the same place any download would go.
Lets the app reach the link you provide and pull down the video or media file. Without it, nothing can be downloaded.
Lets the app check whether you're online before starting a download, so it can show a clear "you're offline" message instead of failing silently.
Keeps your screen or processor awake while a download is actively running, so a large file doesn't get cut off if your device would otherwise go to sleep.
04 Data Storage & Security
- Downloaded videos are stored locally, in your device's storage — not on a server we own or operate.
- There's no account system, so there's no database of user profiles to protect or leak.
- Content is fetched directly from the source you point the app at, using standard secure connections where the source supports them.
- Because we don't hold your downloads or links remotely, uninstalling the app or clearing its storage removes that local data — we have no remote copy to delete on our end.
05 Third-Party Services
When you paste a link, the app fetches content directly from that source (for example, a social media platform or website). That platform's own privacy policy governs how it handles the request on its end — we'd recommend checking it if you're unsure.
As of the date at the top of this page, the app does not integrate any advertising SDK or analytics SDK of our own. If that ever changes — say, we add an ad network to keep the app free — we'll update this section and the "Last updated" date before that change ships.
06 Children's Privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children. Since there's no account system, no personal information is collected from any user, child or adult, in the first place. If you believe a child has somehow provided us information (for example, by email), contact us and we'll delete it.
07 Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy occasionally — for example, if we add a new feature that touches data differently. Any changes will be posted on this same page with an updated "Last updated" date above. We'd encourage checking back periodically if you'd like to stay current.
